Associate Degree in Nursing

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Do you dream of becoming a nurse? Do you have a friend, neighbor or family member who is a nurse? Your friend or family member may feel like many nurses do – that they were drawn to the profession from a young age and it was their destiny to become a nurse.

At St. Paul’s School of Nursing, we can help you make your dreams become a reality. Our comprehensive nursing curriculum is designed so you can earn your Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Nursing in as little as two years. Program graduates are prepared and eligible to take the NCLEX exam. NCLEX is the final step required to obtain your license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Once you earn your RN licensure, you will be qualified for a wide variety of entry-level nursing positions.

A combination of quality classroom instruction and hands-on supervised clinical training fosters critical-thinking skills and encourages our students to pursue a lifetime of learning, professional development, and personal fulfillment as healthcare professionals.

In addition to curriculum including Foundations of Nursing Concepts, Pharmacology, Obstetric & Neonatal Nursing, Nutritional Therapy, Microbiology for Health-Related Sciences, and Professional Trends in Nursing, students also explore emerging and existing trends affecting the nursing profession. During clinical placements, students gain important real-world nursing experience in a variety of acute-care and sub-acute-care facilities throughout our local communities. Throughout their program, students explore legal and ethical healthcare issues, research and evidence-based practices, and economic and political issues surrounding nursing and the healthcare industry.

At St. Paul’s School of Nursing, we celebrate nursing as a noble profession that is both an art and a science. We strive to educate and support well-rounded, compassionate individuals who are prepared to add value to their communities—and their own lives.
